To Nate, music is synonymous with life, a philosophy that has shaped him into a prominent force in Detroit’s music scene. At age five, he began writing songs on the piano but made the saxophone his primary instrument when he was fifteen.
Straight out of high school, Nate began singing his own songs and soon released his debut album "Time of Monsters".
Nate has developed a unique sound that captures any room with fresh, soulful, and melodious solos. Nate also attributes his distinctive tone to his vintage saxophones. His lineup includes a 1919 tenor, 1926 alto, 1906 soprano, and 1970 baritone. These instruments help Nate emulate the sounds of artists who have influenced him from a young age while simultaneously allowing him to explore new sonic concepts.
